When viewing surplus of hundreds of entries for the film festival, it is easy to become jaded to the spooks and shocks; and such is the case with most horrorphiles out there (maybe even you sat there reading this). Which is why it's even more special when a film comes along that is genuinely bone rattling in its scares.

From the team that brought you STILL/BORN and this years sensational SPIRAL, comes a Babadookian tale of parental panic and the unfurling insanity. When their young son, Josh, brings home a imaginary friend, called Z, loving parents Kevin and Beth think nothing of it. That is until Josh's behaviour starts changing for the worse, and even Beth starts to question if their new guest could be more Drop Dead, than Fred.

Atmospherically haunting, deceptively smart and ab-agonisingly tense , Z is a brazen and terrifying entry into the imaginary friend subgenre that makes Blumhouse look like a Blumbungalow.
